Finish Antique Oak

Location Essex

The timber we used here is an Antique Oak, which dates back 250 – 300 years. Each 1-square metre panel has been handmade from original planks. Over 200 man hours have gone into creating this 50-square metre floor. As you can see, the results are stunning.

We finished the floor by staining it a rich dark Oak colour. We then applied multiple coats of natural waxes, with plenty of buffing between each coat, to create this lustrous warm finish. The natural aged patina of the Oak was retained by all of the hard work to manufacture these panels, this is due to the many years of knowledge we possess at Dyfed Richards.
